Budaj was called up from AHL Ontario, Jon Rosen of Fox Sports West reports.
Budaj was recalled to back up Jack Campbell against Detroit Sunday after Jonathan Quick (lower body) was injured in practice. The severity of Quick's injury is still unknown, but Budaj should stay at the NHL level until he returns.
