Cholowski will be selected by the Kraken in Wednesday night's Expansion Draft, Mark Spector of Sportsnet.ca reports.
Cholowski appeared in just 16 games with the Red Wings in 2020-21, picking up three points while averaging 15:54 of ice time per contest. Cholowski was selected 20th overall in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft, so he still has a ton of potential, especially at just 23 years old. He'll likely be given the opportunity to win a bottom-pairing role with the Kraken next season.
