The Lightning recalled Barre-Boulet from AHL Syracuse on Sunday, Bryan Burns of the Lightning's official site reports.
The 24-year-old has played seven NHL games and has recorded a goal and two assists this season. It's unclear whether Barre-Boulet is simply being added for extra depth or if he'll be in the lineup for Sunday's game against Minnesota.
