Point agreed to terms on an eight-year, $76 million contract extension with Tampa Bay on Wednesday.

Point is now under contract with the Lightning for the next nine seasons, which would bring him to age 34. Considering the center's rookie campaign was the only time he failed to reach the 20-goal threshold, it certainly makes sense the organization wanted to lock him up long term. The Calgary native should continue to feature on the top power-play unit and first line, which sets him up as a top-tier fantasy option.
