Stamkos scored two power-play goals on five shots and added an assist in Thursday's 7-6 overtime win over the Red Wings.

The 31-year-old helped bring the Lightning within a goal in the second period with his two tallies after Dylan Larkin was assessed a match penalty. Stamkos also helped out on a Nikita Kucherov goal in the third. With five points through two games to begin 2021-22, it's safe to say Stamkos is already in peak form. He'll likely continue to be a significant player for the Lightning in a top-six role while drawing premium power-play time.
