Matthews scored a goal and added an assist Saturday in a 6-3 loss to the Predators.
It was a nice way to mark the end of his suspension. He fired 10 shots and also rang the post (and hard) twice. Matthews is back in the saddle and his 46 goals put him five ahead of Edmonton's Leon Draisaitl (41). He has scored a goal in each of his last six appearances, totaling nine goals and 11 points over that span. Matthews sits tied for fourth overall in NHL scoring with 79 points.
