Seattle traded Giordano and Colin Blackwell to the Maple Leafs in exchange for two second-round draft picks and a third-round draft pick Sunday, Sportsnet's Chris Johnston reports.
Giordano spent the first 15 years of his career with the Flames before he was selected by Seattle in the 2021 NHL Expansion Draft. The veteran blueliner is averaging 21:29 of ice time with 98 blocked shots and 23 points through 55 games this season. He'll provide the Maple Leafs with quality top-four minutes and will likely quarterback the team's second power-play unit. Giordano will be an unrestricted free agent this offseason.
