Scandella announced his retirement from hockey on Thursday.
Scandella last played in the NHL during the 2023-24 campaign, scoring twice and adding six assists across 65 regular-season games with St. Louis. He did not play in 2024-25 at any level, and at the age of 35, he finishes his NHL career with 51 goals and 119 assists in 784 games for Minnesota, Buffalo, Montreal and the Blues.
