Pickard will start for the Oilers, though he could ultimately split work with Olivier Rodrigue, per Brar. Pickard, expected to open the year as Stuart Skinner's backup, went 12-7-1 with a .909 save percentage and a 2.45 GAA in 23 regular-season appearances last campaign.
