Yamamoto scored a power-play goal on two shots and added an assist in Thursday's 5-2 win over the Sharks.
Yamamoto tied the game at 4:34 of the second period. He also helped out on an Evander Kane empty-net goal in the third. Yamamoto was dropped to the second power-play unit with the return of Ryan Nugent-Hopkins (shoulder), but it didn't affect the former's hot run. The 23-year-old has seven goals and five assists in his last eight appearances, putting him at 32 points, 94 shots, 83 hits, 36 PIM and a minus-4 rating through 64 outings overall.
