Lavoie will be kept off the ice for a couple of days because of a lower-body injury, per Daniel Nugent-Bowman of The Athletic on Tuesday.
After leaving Tuesday's practice early, Lavoie won't play in Wednesday's preseason contest versus Winnipeg. He registered 28 goals and 50 points in 66 regular-season outings with AHL Bakersfield in 2023-24. If healthy, Lavoie could be back in the minors for the start of the upcoming campaign.
