Skinner stopped 22 of 25 shots in Friday's 4-1 preseason loss to the Canucks. The fourth goal was an empty-netter.
Skinner ends the preseason at 1-2-0 with nine goals allowed on 75 shots. That's not a particularly encouraging stat line, but the Oilers are likely to find another gear on offense once the games start to count. Skinner is far from a perfect goalie, but fantasy managers should be able to rely on him for plenty of wins and passable ratios behind one of the league's most intimidating offenses. He enters 2024-25 as the unquestioned No. 1 goalie in Edmonton for the first time in his career, and he may reach the 60-game mark this year after falling one short in 2023-24.
