Barrie scored a power-play goal in Saturday's 5-2 win over the Blackhawks.
Barrie tallied at 11:19 of the first period. The 30-year-old snapped a six-game point drought with his goal. He'll be asked to take on a larger role, especially on the power play, with Darnell Nurse (finger) sidelined for 2-to-3 weeks. Barrie has been just alright so far with nine points, including four on the power play, and 37 shots on net through 17 appearances.
