The Panthers loaned Knight to the taxi squad Friday.

Knight vacates the NHL roster after making 39 saves in Thursday's win over Tampa Bay. The 20-year-old should rejoin the Panthers at some point this season, but he's not currently needed with Sergei Bobrovsky and Jonas Johansson healthy.
