Murashov secured a three-year, entry-level deal with Pittsburgh on Tuesday.
Murashov logged just six games in the KHL last season, posting a 3-1-2 record, .925 save percentage and 1.84 GAA. He spent the bulk of the campaign with the Yaroslavl Lokomotiv junior club in the MHL, for which he racked up 24 wins in 34 appearances. Selected by the Penguins in the fourth round of the 2022 NHL Draft, Murashov figures to link up with AHL Wilkes-Barre/Scranton this upcoming season
