Predators' Ryan Johansen: Happy he's back at work

Johansen (thigh) was present for the start of training camp Thursday, adding that it "feels awesome to get back to work," the Associated Press reports.

The B.C. native became the highest-paid Predator in franchise history after penning an eight-year, $64 million extension in July. He required surgery for acute compartment syndrome, which fortunately prevented permanent muscle damage, and he sounds quite eager for the 2017-18 campaign after his team lost to the Penguins after six games of the Stanley Cup Finals.
