Georgiev turned aside 28 shots in regulation and overtime and two of three shootout attempts in Friday's 3-2 loss to the Golden Knights.
It was another strong effort for the 25-year-old, who's given up two goals or fewer in five of six starts since Igor Shesterkin (lower body) went down, but aside from a couple second-period tallies, the Rangers' offense couldn't give Georgiev much support. Georgiev's 3-2-1 with a 2.00 GAA and .931 save percentage during his run with the No. 1 job, but with Shesterkin a full participant in Friday's morning skate, Georgiev could soon return to backup duties.
