Red Wings' Christian Fischer: Won't play Monday

Fischer (upper body) won't play Monday against the Rangers.

Fischer is considered day-to-day after getting hurt in Saturday's 3-0 win over Nashville. He hasn't earned a point and has gone without a shot on net through two appearances this season. If Detroit doesn't bring up a forward from the minors for Monday's contest, the team could have seven defensemen in the lineup against the Rangers.
