Criscuolo was recalled from AHL Grand Rapids on Monday, per CBS Sports.
Criscuolo has racked up 12 points in as many games with AHL Grand Rapids this season but has yet to suit up with Detroit. He last appeared in an NHL contest during the 2017-18 campaign with Buffalo. The 29-year-old will likely be used as an insurance body for Tuesday's tilt with Boston.
