Mrazek will be exposed to the Golden Knights in the upcoming expansion draft, Helene St. James of the Detroit Free Press reports.

With Mrazek shockingly free for Vegas' taking and Jimmy Howard protected, it's clear just how much Red Wings GM Ken Holland values experience over upside. If Vegas ends up selecting Mrazek, he'd cost the club $4 million for the 2017-18 season, but he'd be under club control as a restricted free agent. This past campaign, the Czech goalie struggled along with the rest of the Red Wings, posting an 18-21-9 record, 3.04 GAA and .901 save percentage.
