Bertuzzi fashioned 19 points (nine goals, 10 assists) with AHL Grand Rapids in the 2017 Calder Cup playoffs, and he claimed MVP honors for his play in the finals, MLive.com reports.

The Griffins defeated Syracuse 4-2 in the final playoff series, with Bertuzzi providing the game-tying tally in Game 6. Nabbed by the Red Wings in the second round (58th overall) of the 2013 draft, Bertuzzi has been involved in postseason play every season since starting juniors with OHL Guelph Storm in 2011-12. A fierce competitor, he'll compete for a full-time role with the Red Wings this fall.
