Fitzgerald was reassigned to AHL Rochester on Monday.
Fitzgerald was busy in his NHL debut Friday, tallying a goal and getting into a fight during his 16:42 of ice time. The 24-year-old defenseman should be on the shortlist of call-ups for the Sabres moving forward.
