Okposo (upper body) was placed on injured reserve Wednesday, Paul Hamilton of WGR Sports Radio 550 reports.
Okposo was already essentially ruled out for the remainder of the Sabres' road trip, which ends Saturday in Boston. The 32-year-old winger's first expected chance to return is Monday versus the Flyers, but there's been no indication he'll be ready at that time.
