Thompson scored two goals, one on the power play, in Monday's 7-4 loss to the Blue Jackets.
That's back-to-back two-point performances for the 24-year-old, who is emerging as one of Buffalo's top scoring threats. Thompson has six goals and nine points through 10 games in November, and the 2016 first-round pick has already set new career highs with 10 tallies and 15 points on the season, in only 18 contests.
