Luukkonen and the Sabres will not face off with the Blue Jackets on either Tuesday or Thursday due to COVID-19 related cancellations.
Luukkonen is 2-2-1 with a 1.96 GAA in his previous five clashes but will have to wait until Dec. 27 versus the Islanders to get back into the crease. At this point, even once Dustin Tokarski (COVID-19 protocols) is cleared to rejoin the team, Luukkonen may have done enough to keep himself in the NHL for a while longer.
