Luukkonen was loaned to AHL Rochester on Sunday.
Buffalo also brought up forward Peyton Krebs on Sunday. The Sabres have been sending down and calling up Luukkonen, who played in Saturday's win over Nashville as well as Thursday's loss to Winnipeg, since Eric Comrie returned from a lower-body injury. Buffalo may bring up Luukkonen again prior to Monday's contest versus Florida.
