Sabres' Zach Benson: Lands on injured reserve

Benson (undisclosed) was placed on injured reserve Friday, Rachel Lenzi of The Buffalo News reports.

Benson reportedly sustained the injury late in Thursday's contest versus the Bruins, and it will now cost him at least a week of action. The 20-year-old has been in a top-six role with power-play time this season, so it will be a big hole for the Sabres to fill. Isak Rosen was called up from AHL Rochester in a corresponding move.
