Tkachuk and the Senators have yet to come to terms on a new deal, but the two sides have continued to engage in negotiations, Bruce Garrioch of the Ottawa Sun reports.

Tkachuk will undoubtedly miss the beginning of training camp, but it's clear that he and the Sens are determined to come to terms on a new contract sooner rather than later. The restricted free agent has racked up 60 goals, 125 points, 693 shots and 725 hits while averaging 17:41 of ice time in 198 games through his first three NHL seasons.
