Batherson agreed to terms on a six-year, $29.85 million contract with Ottawa on Friday
Considering Batherson has less than 100 games of NHL experience under his belt, it comes as a bit of a surprise to see the Senators committing to him for another six years. Still, the 23-year-old winger is coming off a career-best year in which he set new personal bests in goals (17), assists (17) and power-play points (15) and that was while playing in just 56 games due to the shortened season. With a full 82-game campaign, Batherson could challenge for the 50-point and 20-goal thresholds which would make him a top-half fantasy option.
