Viel (undisclosed) will not be available Sunday against Minnesota, Sheng Peng of San Jose Hockey Now reports.
Viel likely picked up an injury Saturday against the Stars but it's unclear exactly what he's dealing with. In his absence, Thomas Bordeleau will make his NHL debut. An update on Viel's status could be available ahead of Tuesday's tilt with Columbus.
