Thornton netted a power-play goal and also picked up an assist in Thursday night's 5-4 loss to the Jets.

Thornton may be 36 years old, but he's played in every game this season and is averaging a point per contest. With his 62 assists being the most of any forward, Thornton has rediscovered his magic with the coaching change from Todd McLellan to Peter DeBoer. His huge season made for serious fantasy hockey implications, but it will be an afterthought to Sharks fans unless Jumbo Joe can help his team finally grab hold of the Stanley Cup hardware.
