Sharks' Joe Thornton: Notches assist in losing bid against Rangers

Thornton registered an assist in Monday's loss the Rangers.

Thornton now has two points through the first three games of the season. He's also registered only one shot on goal, which isn't a huge concern given that the veteran playmaker managed just 1.48 shots per game (121 in 82 contests) last year. Teammates Brent Burns, Joe Pavelski and Logan Couture have combined for 15 points thus far, and it's only a matter of time before Thornton joins the party as he looks to continue his productive ways from his extraordinary 82-point 2015-16 campaign.
