Ward extended his pointless streak to seven games and skated to a minus-2 rating in Tuesday's 5-4 overtime win over the Rangers.
Given Team Teal's high-scoring output, it's a shame that Ward's rating fell on the undesirable side. He's been a huge liability in the defensive zone, going minus-8 over this scoreless stretch. The Sharks and fantasy owners alike depend on the 36-year-old for special-teams contributions, including work on the penalty kill, but he's fading at arguably the worst possible time.
