Eklund is day-to-day with an upper-body injury, per Sheng Peng of San Jose Hockey Now on Friday.
Eklund should still be fine for Opening Night against St. Louis on Oct. 10, but he might miss some preseason action due to the injury. He had 16 goals and 45 points in 80 contests with the Sharks last season.
