Petrovic was sent down to AHL Texas on Sunday.
Petrovic has bounced between the AHL and NHL early this year, though he's yet to suit up in a game with Dallas. The 32-year-old blueliner saw action in only one game last season, logging a pair of hits in 12:52 of ice time.
