Steel signed a one-year, $850,000 contract with Dallas on Saturday.
Steel provided 10 goals and 28 points in 65 contests with Minnesota in 2022-23. He'll probably start the season serving in a bottom-six capacity, but he might also get an opportunity to play on Dallas' second power-play unit.
