Gustavsson will tend to the road net in Wednesday's preseason contest against Dallas, per Michael Russo of The Athletic.
Gustavsson posted a 20-18-4 record with a 3.06 GAA and an .899 save percentage in 45 regular-season appearances in 2023-24. He will battle for playing time with Marc-Andre Fleury in the upcoming campaign, and if they struggle again, could be replaced by Jesper Wallstedt at some point during the season.
