Olofsson will not play Friday's game against the Panthers due to an upper-body injury suffered during Thursday's loss to the Lightning.
Olofsson was projected to be a healthy scratch Friday upon the return of Mathew Dumba anyway, so the injury will more likely determine his future for which the team has not determined a timeline. Nate Prosser and Marco Scandella will likely man the third defensive pairing Friday.
