Kaprizov will not be available for the start of training camp due to his ongoing contract dispute, Michael Russo of The Athletic reports.

Kaprizov remains unsigned ahead of the start of the 2021-22 campaign, which means he is still back in his native Russia until he pens a new contract. The prospect of the 24-year-old winger signing in the KHL remains a possibility. In 55 games last year, Kaprizov racked up 27 goals and 24 assists on his way to a Calder Trophy and should continue to rack up points if he returns for his sophomore campaign.
