Rau was promoted to Minnesota's active roster Wednesday, Michael Russo of The Athletic reports.
Rau has cracked the Wild's lineup on two occasions this season, going scoreless while averaging just 7:53 of ice time per contest. He's currently projected to be a healthy scratch for Wednesday night's game versus Vegas.
