  • Stafford will be a healthy scratch on the road against the Rangers on Saturday, Devils' play-by-play announcer Matt Loughlin reports. Devils coach John Hynes will swap in one struggling forward for another, as Stafford, who's stuck in an 11-game point drought, tags out in favor of center Pavel Zacha -- two assists for his only points since the beginning of November.

  • Devils' Drew Stafford: Scores in loss to Oil
    By RotoWire Staff

Stafford scored a goal and logged 16:40 of ice time (2:52 on the power play) during Thursday's 3-1 overtime loss to Edmonton. This was just the second goal and fourth point through the past nine games for Stafford, as he's quickly cooled of late. The veteran dipped to just eight tallies and 13 assists through 58 games last season, and he's unlikely to significantly improve on those numbers this year. As a result, Stafford's off the fantasy grid in the majority of settings at this stage of the game.

  • Devils' Drew Stafford: Two goals in shootout win
    By RotoWire Staff

Stafford scored goals at even strength and on the power play in Tuesday's 5-4 shootout win over the Lightning. Stafford bookended the scoring in regulation, potting the game's first goal 2:45 in and tying the score at 4-4 thanks to a power-play tally with 4:06 remaining. He was denied by Lightning goaltender Peter Budaj to open the shootout, but a Kyle Palmieri goal in the skills challenge propelled New Jersey to victory nonetheless. The four-time 20-goal scorer is off to a strong start with his new club, as Stafford now has three goals in three games played this season.

  • Devils' Drew Stafford: Included in Saturday's lineup
    By RotoWire Staff

Stafford (lower body) will return to the lineup for Saturday's tilt against the Rangers, Andrew Gross of The Bergen Record reports. The first-year Devil has played just over six minutes with his new team after going down to injury in the season opener. While Stafford has failed to score more than 38 points since 2011-12, he will be skating with 2017 first-overall pick Nico Hischier and Marcus Johansson -- who's scored four points in four games in 2017-18 -- which means he may be afforded more scoring chances than he's accustomed to in Saturday's contest.

  • Devils' Drew Stafford: Ruled out Friday
    By RotoWire Staff

Stafford (lower body) is not listed among the forward lines for Friday's home game against the Capitals, per NJ.com. The journeyman has only drawn into one game for the Devils, as he was injured in the season opener versus the Avalanche last Saturday. Mike Morreale of NHL.com has relayed from coach John Hynes that Stafford is "a possibility" for Saturday's game against the Rangers in the Big Apple.
