Boyle scored his 17th goal of the season in a 5-3 loss to the Hurricanes on Saturday. Boyle has potted four scores in 14 games since being traded to the Predators from the Devils on Feb. 7. He had six shots in Saturday's contest. The defensively inclined forward has 23 points across 61 games this season, as well as 122 hits. With center and left wing eligibility in places, it's encouraging to see Boyle already taking more faceoffs with the Predators -- over six per game, compared to four per game with the Devils this season.
Boyle put home his 16th goal of the season -- coming on the power play -- in Tuesday's 5-4 shootout win over the Wild. It was Boyle's third goal as a Predator and moves the veteran forward up to 22 points in 2018-19. The 34-year-old missed Nashville's previous game with a lower-body injury.
Boyle (lower body) will play in Tuesday's game versus the Wild, Robby Stanley of NHL.com reports. Boyle missed Sunday's game versus the Wild, but he'll be ready for round two. Since arriving in Music City, Boyle has two goals and zero assists in 12 games, and he's added a valuable physical presence with 33 hits. He'll continue to work on the fourth line with power-play opportunities.
Boyle (lower body) will not suit up in Minnesota on Sunday. The 34-year-old has been solid as a bottom-six winger with Nashville, tallying a pair of goals in 12 contests. Until an update on the injury is available, consider Boyle day-to-day and questionable to play against the Wild on Tuesday.
Boyle's 14th goal of 2018-19 turned out to be the game-winner in a 3-1 win over the Canadiens on Thursday. In just his fifth game with Nashville, Boyle found the back of the net, giving him 14 goals and 20 points in 52 games this season. With a mere five points since Jan. 2, the veteran forward doesn't stand to add very much to your fantasy roster.
