Miller stopped 26 of 29 shots in Monday's 3-1 loss to the Avalanche. Making just his second start since Christmas, Miller wasn't able to keep a lid on a Colorado offense that's been explosive on home ice. The 37-year-old still has a 2.10 GAA and .932 save percentage on the season, but he doesn't see enough action behind John Gibson to provide much fantasy value outside of DFS formats.
Miller will tend the twine against the Avalanche on Monday, Eric Stephens of The Orange County Register reports. Miller will be making his second appearance over the Ducks' most recent nine contests, having posted a 31-save shutout in his last outing. The netminder will likely continue to see infrequent starts behind No. 1 John Gibson. Colorado is putting 30.1 shots on net per game (sixth fewest in the NHL), so it could be a lighter workload for the veteran; however, the Ducks are allowing 33.8 per game, which is fourth most in the league.
Miller turned aside all 31 shots in a 5-0 win over the Canucks on Tuesday. Miller turned back the clock in this one, throwing up a big old goose egg against his former team. The 37-year-old doesn't play often behind workhorse starter John Gibson, but he's now a solid 5-1-4 with a 2.01 GAA and equally impressive .935 save percentage. Because of his sparkling ratios, Miller makes for a solid-spot start option whenever he gets the nod.
Miller will guard the cage in Tuesday's road game against the Canucks, Irfaan Gaffar of Sportsnet reports. Miller has struggled in his last two outings, posting a 1-1-0 record while registering an ugly 3.94 GAA and .864 save percentage over that span. The veteran backstop will look to get back on track and pick up his fifth win of the campaign in a favorable road matchup with a Canucks club that's 7-11-3 at home this season.
Miller stopped just 22 of 26 shots during Thursday's 5-4 overtime win against the Islanders. The veteran backstop wasn't his sharpest Thursday, but he pulled out the victory and now sports a 4-1-4 record, .928 save percentage and 2.23 GAA for the campaign. His workload is down with John Gibson receiving the majority of starts, but Miller's proven to be a solid option when patrolling the blue paint.
