  • Del Zotto collected an assist in 20:11 of ice time in Tuesday's win over Calgary. Del Zotto buried his first goal in a Canucks uniform Monday against Detroit and followed up with another strong showing versus the Flames. He's worth monitoring right now, as the 27-year-old possesses strong offensive instincts and is playing on the first power-play unit with the Sedin twins. The puck-moving rearguard has racked up seven points through 15 games and fired 33 shots on goal in that span, so give him a look in a deep league you're searching for a blueliner with offensive capabilities.

  • Del Zotto picked up two helpers -- one on a man advantage -- in a 6-3 loss to Boston on Thursday. Del Zotto's first multi-point performance of the season extended his point streak to three games. The 27-year-old blueliner also fired a season-high six shots on goal in the contest. Averaging 24:29 of ice time so far this season, Del Zotto should continue to see his fair share of scoring opportunities.

  • Del Zotto procured a two-year, $6 million contract with the Canucks on Saturday, TSN reports. That's indubitably a large chunk of change for the oft-injured Del Zotto, but then again, proven defensemen come at a premium in today's NHL. Health permitting, the 27-year-old with 189 points in 484 career games between the Rangers, Predators and Flyers should be able to grab at least 20 minutes per contest in his new digs.

  • Del Zotto spoke with general manager Ron Hextall after the season and was informed that the team plans to go with young players on the back end next season, Sam Carchidi of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports. Del Zotto will become an unrestricted free agent July 1, and it looks like he's skated his last shift in Philadelphia. He logged just six goals and 18 points over 51 games in 2016-17 -- his second straight campaign with 18 or fewer points. Even if he finds work with another organization, it appears that DZ's best fantasy days are well behind him.

  • Flyers' Michael Del Zotto: Nets rare goal
    By RotoWire Staff

Del Zotto scored his sixth goal of the season in Saturday's 4-2 win over Columbus. So much potential; so many injuries. Del Zotto has the skill, but that hasn't led to success for the defender, who has been injured every season since the lockout. Saturday was just his 50th game of the season.
