  • Lovejoy recorded a goal, assist, three shots on goal and a plus-2 rating over 20:12 in a 5-4 shootout loss against the Flames on Sunday. With the score, Lovejoy has already tied his one-goal mark from last season; he also has three points in six games. While it's a great start, owners shouldn't expect much more from Lovejoy in the scoring department. He's never posted more than five goals or reached 20 points during one season in his entire career.

  • Lovejoy recorded three hits and blocked one shot during Friday's 3-0 defeat to San Jose. After appearing in all 82 games for New Jersey last year, this was only the third time Lovejoy has played in the 2017-18 season, as he was scratched four of the previous five games. Although the 33-year-old has never been a consistent point scorer -- his career high is 18 -- he's reportedly looked lost on defense recently, so don't expect him to gain any fantasy relevance anytime soon.

  • Devils' Ben Lovejoy: Remains in Jersey
    By RotoWire Staff

Lovejoy stayed put as the NHL trade deadline passed Wednesday. Plenty of contenders were in the market for help on the blue line, and the Devils capitalized by dealing Kyle Quincey to Columbus for the younger Dalton Prout. Lovejoy remained untouched, however -- likely because he's in the first season of a three-year, $8 million deal. That's a hefty commitment for a 33-year-old who has contributed just six points in 62 games.

  • Devils' Ben Lovejoy: Remains scoreless in January
    By RotoWire Staff

Lovejoy was scoreless in Friday's 3-1 loss against New Jersey. Lovejoy is without a point in each of his 10 games in January, and he has just one goal and four points overall this season. He did post a shot on goal, minor penalty, two hits and two blocked shots, and the latter two categories are where he can serve fantasy owners best in deeper formats. The light-scoring rearguard has 86 blocked shots and 57 hits through 46 games.

  • Devils' Ben Lovejoy: Tallies rare goal
    By RotoWire Staff

Lovejoy scored his first goal of the season against Vancouver on Tuesday, and it held up as the game-winner. The defense-first blueliner had just two points in 24 games heading into Tuesday's action. If your league counts hits and blocked shots, he can help, but if it's points you're after, look elsewhere. Even Lovejoy's ice time is unreliable -- it fluctuates regularly between about 16 and 23 minutes -- and he sees nearly no action on the power play, so offensive production is predictably rare for the 32-year-old.
