  • DiDomenico scored a third-period goal in Friday's 4-3 overtime win over Colorado in Sweden. DiDomenico was shut out in his past two games, but he bounced back well for Game 1 of Ottawa's trip to Sweden. He's making a case for more ice time even when regulars like Bobby Ryan (finger) return, but it's more likely that his opportunities are tied to the Senators missing some of their more high-profile options.

  • DiDomenico recorded a goal and an assist on the power play during Monday's 8-3 loss to Montreal. Don't look now, but DiDomenico sports a three-game point streak with two goals and three assists. He's seen an increase in ice time as a result, and the diminutive winger could continue to see offensive looks if he keeps chipping in offensively. It's not out of the question to consider adding DiDomenico in cavernous settings, but just remember, the 28-year-old has only suited up for nine NHL games for a reason.

  • DiDomenico scored his first NHL goal and added an assist in 5-4 shootout loss to New Jersey on Friday. DiDomenico showed scoring potential in Switzerland and at AHL Belleville, but had yet to produce at the NHL level to this point. This was a nice step for him, but he's probably not a fantasy option long term, as his opportunity will likely dry up when the Senators' regulars return from injuries.

  • Senators' Chris DiDomenico: Promoted to big club

The Senators recalled DiDomenico from AHL Belleville on Friday. Zack Smith is expected to be sidelined for at least a week due to an upper-body injury, so DiDomenico will round out Ottawa's depth at forward until Smith is fit to return. The 28-year-old pivot leads AHL Belleville with three goals and five points in four games this campaign.

  • Senators' Chris DiDomenico: Waived for reassignment
    By RotoWire Staff

DiDomenico was placed on waivers by the Senators on Friday, Bruce Garrioch of the Ottawa Sun reports. DiDomenico spent the past two seasons playing for the Langnau Tigers of the Swiss league, where he tallied 76 points in 94 outings. The center did log three contests for Ottawa during the 2016-17 campaign, but averaged a mere 11:01 of ice time in those appearances and failed to register a point. If he clears waivers, the 28-year-old will likely be reassigned to AHL Belleville.
