  • Gunnarsson left Friday's game against the Golden Knights with an upper-body injury and will not return, Jesse Granger of The Athletic reports. The Blues go right back to work Saturday night against the Sharks, so we'll have to see if the club calls up a reinforcement option from AHL San Antonio as the strong hint on whether or not Gunnarsson will be ready for the next contest.

  • Gunnarsson (hip) will make his 2018-19 debut Thursday against the Golden Knights, Lou Korac of NHL.com reports. Gunnarsson's return Thursday was foreshadowed by his activation off of the non-roster injured reserve list Wednesday. He slotted in alongside Vince Dunn on the third pairing during morning skate, likely slating the veteran for that pairing in his return.

  • Gunnarsson (hip) was activated off non-roster injured reserve Wednesday. Gunnarsson -- who was injured March 23 against Vancouver -- will add to an already deep blue line. It's not clear whether the veteran will immediately suit up versus Vegas on Thursday or instead serve as a healthy scratch, but he is at least available to play. In preparation for Gunnarsson's activation, the team moved Jakub Jerabek down to the minors Tuesday.

  • Gunnarsson (hip) was brought back from his conditioning stint with AHL San Antonio on Monday. Gunnarsson won't be immediately activated off non-roster, injured reserve, which gives the team some time to decide how best to stay under the 23-man roster limit. During his stint in the minors, the blueliner took the ice in a pair of outings in which he failed to register a point, but did earn a plus-1 rating.

  • Gunnarsson (hip) will join AHL San Antonio on a conditioning assignment, per Jim Thomas of The St. Louis Post-Dispatch. Gunnarsson was already expected to be out of action until November, so the conditioning assignment shouldn't affect his recovery timeline. In fact, with the blueliner slated to play with the Rampage through Sunday, he could be back and ready to suit up versus the Golden Knights on Nov. 1.
