  • Kadri has served his suspension and will not miss any time at the start of the 2021-22 season. Kadri's last absence due to his eight-game suspension was Thursday's Game 6 versus the Golden Knights. Unfortunately for the 30-year-old, the Avalanche were unable to force Game 7, so his season ended with him in street clothes. He will likely return to a second-line role entering next season.

  • Kadri's eight-game suspension has been upheld by a neutral arbitrator, Peter Baugh of The Athletic reports. As a result, Kadri will miss Tuesday's Game 5 and Thursday's Game 6 versus Colorado, but he'll be eligible to return for a potential Game 7 on Saturday if the Avalanche and Golden Knights' series lasts that long. The veteran forward picked up an assist through the first two games of Vegas' playoff run before being handed his lengthy suspension.

  • Kadri will turn to a neutral arbitrator to appeal his eight-game suspension, Peter Baugh of The Athletic reports. After the league announced that commissioner Gary Bettman upheld Kadri's ban, the center and the NHLPA will move forward with another appeal to a neutral arbitrator that will be final. At this point, it's unclear how quickly this may be resolved, so fantasy players can likely expect Kadri to still be suspended for Wednesday's Game 2 matchup with the Golden Knights. For now, the Ontario native won't make an appearance in the second-round series unless it reaches a Game 7.

  • Kadri's eight-game suspension for an illegal check to the head of Justin Faulk was upheld by commissioner Gary Bettman on Monday, per the NHL's release. Kadri has already missed three games due to his ban and now won't be available for the second-round series versus the Golden Knights unless it gets to a Game 7. In 10 games prior to his suspension, the 30-year-old center garnered one goal on 22 shots, four assists and nine hits while averaging 15:24 of ice time. J.T. Compher is currently filling the second-line center role with Kadri unavailable, though Tyson Jost has also gotten a look in a top-six role. Kadri can still appeal to a neutral arbitrator in one last attempt to limit the length of the suspension.

  • Kadri will appeal his eight-game suspension, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports. Kadri's appeal will be heard by NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman, but Kadri will also have the right to an independent arbitrator if he chooses. The 30-year-old forward has missed Games 3 and 4 of the first-round series against the Blues after his hit on Justin Faulk in Game 2.
