  • Oilers' Ty Rattie: Waived on Tuesday
    By RotoWire Staff

Rattie was waived by the Oilers on Tuesday. This depth winger is no stranger to the waiver process, as he got the proverbial boot from the Blues and Hurricanes last year. Rattie came in with a lot of hype as the Blues' 2011 second-round (32nd overall) draft pick, but he's only appeared in 35 NHL games, adding four goals and six assists.

  • Oilers' Ty Rattie: Secures one-year deal
    By RotoWire Staff

Rattie signed a one-year contract with the Oilers on Saturday. Rattie was waived by the Blues last January, only to get picked up by the Hurricanes, who ultimately sent him back to the wire -- ironically, St. Louis would end up reclaiming him a month later. The chronic pinballing from Rattie might be enough to make your head spin, but we wouldn't sweat out his status unless it starts to look like the Oilers will become the first franchise serious about giving him a full-time NHL role.

  • Blackhawks' Ty Rattie: Claimed by Chicago
    By RotoWire Staff

Rattie was claimed by the Blackhawks on Sunday, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports. The winger is no stranger to the waiver wire, as he got claimed by the Hurricanes from St. Louis earlier this season. He hasn't scored much this year, with two assists in nine games, but last year in the AHL he had 46 points in 62 games, so he has the capacity to score en masse if it could ever translate to the NHL.

  • Hurricanes' Ty Rattie: Waived on Saturday
    By RotoWire Staff

Rattie was placed on waivers by the Hurricanes on Saturday. Despite hearing his name called by the Blues in the second round (32nd overall) of the 2011 NHL Entry Draft, Rattie has now failed to impress the bosses running the show in St. Louis and Carolina, with this being his second time on waivers during the 2016-17 campaign. He's known for his hockey smarts, but tends to be lax defensively and that's a big turnoff for NHL clubs trying to be competitive. Assuming he clears waivers, Rattie should wind up with AHL Charlotte.

  • Hurricanes' Ty Rattie: Makes Carolina debut
    By RotoWire Staff

Rattie had three hits and two shots on net in 12:59 of ice time in Thursday's 4-2 win over the Blues. The newest Hurricane skated on the team's top line with Victor Rask and Jeff Skinner, which enhances Rattie's potential. The former Blue averaged 7:20 of ice time in just four games for St. Louis this season before being exposed to waivers.
