Megna (upper body) will rejoin the lineup for Sunday's matchup with the Sharks, Ben Kuzma of the Vancouver Province reports. Additionally, he signed a one-year, one-way contract extension with the Canucks on Sunday. Megna returns to action after missing the last five games with the ailment and is projected to skate on Vancouver's third line Sunday. He's been mostly unproductive this season, notching just eight points in 53 games, but apparently that was good enough to earn him another year with the Canucks.
Megna (upper body) will miss a fourth consecutive game Tuesday against the Ducks. Megna has just two points in his last 26 games while averaging 13:23 of ice time, and that alone could be reason to steer clear in most fantasy formats. He remains without a timetable for return.
Megna is dealing with an upper-body injury, leaving him doubtful to play in the three remaining games on the Canucks' road trip, which ends Sunday. Given that Joseph Cramarossa (foot) is also ailing, the Canucks may have to decide between calling up a reinforcement from the minors or temporarily moving one of their seven active defensemen to the forward position for Thursday's road game against the Blues. Chances are good that you haven't been relying on Megna for fantasy purposes anyhow; the guy has just eight points and a minus-4 rating in 53 games.
Megna scored a third-period goal and logged 14:35 of ice time during Thursday's win over Columbus. Megna snapped a seven-game point drought Thursday, and he's also been a healthy scratch twice since he last hit the scoresheet Jan. 12. Vancouver averages just 2.3 goals per game, so as long as Megna is skating in a bottom-six role, he offers next to no fantasy value.
Megna (illness) will play Friday against Florida, Irfaan Gaffar of Sportsnet reports. After missing Tuesday's game due to illness, the winger will be back on the ice Friday. He has averaged 11:42 minutes per game this year, but in his last seven games he has averaged 15:02 minutes per game, so he has seen a bump in playing time. That said, he has only scored six points in 28 games this year, so he doesn't have much value in most leagues.
